Carnival Panorama is Carnival's flagship on the West Coast, sailing from the Port of Long Beach, California. As the third Vista-class ship, she brought Carnival's most modern features — SkyRide, WaterWorks, and Guy's Burger Joint — to Southern California cruisers for the first time. She primarily sails 7-night Mexican Riviera itineraries to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán, and Cabo San Lucas, along with Caribbean sailings during peak seasons.

✦ The standout feature

SkyRide and the full Vista-class activity suite — the same features that made Vista a hit, now permanently based on the West Coast. For California cruisers, Panorama is the most activity-rich ship available without travelling to Florida.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Carnival Panorama sail to?
Panorama primarily sails 7-night Mexican Riviera itineraries from Long Beach, calling at Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán, and Cabo San Lucas. Some sailings also go to Ensenada. During peak seasons, she occasionally repositions for Caribbean sailings.
Is Long Beach or Los Angeles the port for Carnival Panorama?
The port is officially the Port of Long Beach, which is in Long Beach, California — approximately 20 miles south of downtown Los Angeles. It's well-served by the Long Beach Transit system and is accessible from LAX in around 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.
How does Panorama compare to Carnival Vista?
They're sister ships in the same Vista class with virtually identical features. The main difference is homeport — Vista sails from Galveston (Texas) and Panorama from Long Beach (California). Panorama was launched three years later (2019 vs 2016) and incorporated some minor refinements.
Does Carnival Panorama have the SkyRide?
Yes. Panorama has the same SkyRide aerial cycling attraction as Vista — a suspended 800-foot track on the top deck where passengers pedal pods with open-air panoramic views of the ocean. It's free to use and one of the most distinctive activities on the ship.
